Made these seek and find bags for church boutique. Here's what I did.
Cut out a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square of plastic.
Cut out four 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 pieces of fabric. (Fussy cut if
using detailed fabric and be mindful of orientation.). Sew onto
plastic with right sides of fabric together and plastic
sandwiched between. These are the sides of your bag. I used 1/4 inch seams throughout.

Next, measure the width of the piece you just finished and
cut four 1 1/2 inch pieces by what you measured. Should be about
seven inches but measure twice and cut once.
Sew the top and bottom pieces on as you did the sides. Again
being mindful of fabric orientation.
You can finger press or use a pressing cloth. This is the front
of your bag completed.
Next cut two square pieces the size of your front. This
will be approximately 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 but measure and square up all pieces.
Next make a handle (optional). I cut a 2 1/2 inch piece by
about 6-7 inches. Folded it together the long way and pressed.
Open up piece and fold long edges to center then in half. Top
stitch the fold in half for handle.
Now put right sides of front and back together putting
handle inside one of the ends. Place on top of the wrong
side square that will end up inside plastic. You will have four
layers.
Red circle is the opening you should leave. I did some
stitching on the open edge before starting.
Sew bag together leaving an opening and turn
right side out.
The red circle is where you will add you items to find and
whatever filler you are using. I used Poly Pellets.
Hand sew with hidden stitch to close.
Lastly, I made a printed list of items along with a picture and
attached to the handle.
