Halloween Bags

Made these Halloween Trick or Treat bags for
a church fall boutique.

Final product, might embellish with halloween buttons.

No pattern was used.  I cut coordinating fabric for outer bag and inner bag measuring about 14 inches wide and 16 1/2 inches tall.  Then I cut out a 1 1/2 inch square on the bottom.  The handles were cut 3 inches wide, folded in half for two 1 1/2 inch handles.  They can be any length.  Next I sewed the outer bag and the inner bag, then putting right sides together with handles pin inside and sewed around the top leaving about a 3 inch opening to turn right side out.  Lastly I top stitched the upper bag with two rows of stitching.

Stocking Hat

Stocking hat, pattern by

Made with Plymouth Worsted Marino Superwash

I didn't think this yarn made a very warm hat for cold Minnesota wind chills even folding over cuff.

Hot Bowl Holder

This hot bowl holder goes right into the microwave with a bowl on it and doesn't get hot.  I used two strands of worsted wool yarn for this project.

Whimsical hat

This whimsical hat was made from a pattern out of the book
'Hip Knit Hats' by Cathy Carron

It knits large so and I had to omit the last two knit rows before the edge.  I made it with Lamb's Pride Bulky 85% wool 15% mohair and it is so warm I think I can only wear it when outside in the cold Minnesota winter.

Dog Sweater

This dog sweater pattern was easy to follow and a quick knit.
Our dog maybe could have used a longer neck.

It was knit out of a green 100% wool from Nature's Way.
